Identity infrastructure, built in Sierra Leone
MiProof is built by MiKashBoks, a Sierra Leone financial-technology company. We built MiProof to make trustworthy identity verification available to regulated institutions, starting in Sierra Leone and building for West Africa. MiProof runs as a dedicated identity-verification service: the data our customers submit is used to verify their customers, never for MiKashBoks’ own financial products.
Built locally, for the way people here actually onboard
MiKashBoks was founded in Sierra Leone by Salton Massally. We wanted to bring real financial services to people the formal system had left out.
We have been licensed by the Bank of Sierra Leone since 2018. Doing that work taught us that none of it holds up without solid identity checks underneath. So we built MiProof and opened it up to other regulated institutions — banks, fintechs, mobile money providers, microfinance lenders, and telecom operators. We are live in Sierra Leone and building for the wider West African market, working directly with the people who set the rules here.
